PharmaCare Medication Consultants, Inc. is an Alabama company located in Oneonta, AL that specializes in independent long term care consulting for our elderly. We began PMC, Inc. in 2006 and have grown to providing consulting services to over 60 facilities in 2 states, including Alabama and Mississippi. We partner with nursing homes, assistant living facilities, specialty care facilities, pharmacies, and other health care organizations.

Supplying expertise in overseeing quality pharmaceutical consulting for long-term-care nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or individual family medication management. Provide consultations to facility management to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations. Evaluate drug regimens for efficient and cost effective therapy for all. Educating staff and families on medication administration, disease management, and expected outcomes of medication therapy. 

Our consulting team has over 100 years of collective long term care consulting experience providing services to skilled nursing, sub-acute, residential, and assisted living facilities. Responsibilities include a thorough review of each medication regimen in all areas served. Provide in-service training to staff and families on related topics to maintain the highest level of care and to stay abreast of new/current trends in medications, drug delivery systems, and medication administration procedures. Monitor facilities for compliance with regulations with proper medication storage, ordering and receiving, administration, destruction, and control of medication usage. Provide facility management, physicians, and families with written reports of each consultant visit to ensure communications for compliance with federal and state regulations.
